We were asked to create the branding for this small but incredibly talented studio, launched in 2016 after the three founders decided to join up, after years working at different high level architectural offices. The name Joyn had already been set and is a play on the words join + joy. The logotype springs from this very idea of coming together — alongside its two main forms, its elements are free to join up in various ways across the dotted grid (a reference to architectural drawings).
Along with the logotype, we worked closely together with the client to create a simple system of colors, layout and typography for their launch and establishment phase.
